The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) is an international financial institution and a specialized United Nations agency dedicated to eradicating rural poverty and hunger. It does so by investing in rural people. IFAD finances programmes and projects that increase agricultural productivity and raise rural incomes, and advocates at the local, national and international level for policies that contribute to rural transformation.
Post’s organizational accountability
The Country Programme Analyst (CPA) works in a matrix reporting function. S/He reports to Director Global Engagement and Multilateral Relations Divsion, who is his/her primary supervisor. In addition, the incumbent will work under the day-to-day supervision of the Head of the South-South and Triangular Cooperation and Knowledge Center (SSTC and KC) in either Brazil or Ethiopia. In conducting her/his functions, the incumbent will also closely coordinate with concerned colleagues in the Strategy and Knowledge Department (SKD) with regard to knowledge management activities. The objectives of the SSTC and Knowledge Centres are to:
- Support the implementation of the main provisions in IFAD’s corporate SSTC strategy and the Brasilia Declaration and Action Agenda on SSTC; and
- Contribute to strengthening the linkages among IFAD’s country, regional and global knowledge activities.
