The Small Charities Challenge Fund
(SCCF) is open to any small, UK-registered charity or not-for-profit organisation, with an annual income of £250,000 or less.To be considered as registered in the UK, your organisation must be registered as a not-for-profit organisation in the UKIf your organisation is part of a larger international family, we will expect you to demonstrate significant autonomy; your organisation must be registered in the UK and have its own UK specific constitution and an independent board of trustees, i.e. the board must be locally appointed and be free and able to make independent decisions on strategic and operational issues. You may be asked to provide relevant documentation as evidence of this status.
Grants of up to £50,000 for projects of up to 2 years, will be considered by an independent review panel.
Alongside other factors, the Department for International Development (DFID) will consider:
- the dependency that the applicant organisation has or will have on DFID funding
- the diversity of organisations able to access DFID funding and market share
- the financial capacity of an organisation to manage the size of grant applied for
